Chase Bank Outage Causes Disruptions for Zelle Users

by webmaster

An unexpected outage at Chase Bank has caused disruptions for users of the Zelle payment network, leading to frustrated customers taking to social media to voice their complaints.

Zelle, in a tweet, stated that its network is operating normally and placed the blame on Chase Bank, stating that the bank is encountering issues with payment processing. “The rest of the Zelle network is functioning as usual,” the tweet read. “Chase is one of our partner banks and has complete control over the Zelle feature in their app.”

Chase Bank issued a statement acknowledging the problem and expressing their efforts to restore full service for account transfers, Zelle payments, and bill payments. However, no specific details regarding the cause or duration of the service disruption were provided. According to DownDetector, a platform that records user outage reports, both services have been experiencing issues since approximately 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

As of 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time, the problem remains unresolved.

Chase Bank assured customers that all other digital banking features are functioning normally despite the ongoing issue with Zelle payments.
