Sarah Clarke Named as Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer

Effective October 30, Sarah Clarke will assume the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at American Eagle Outfitters. Clarke brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as the Global Chief Supply Chain Officer at PVH Corp.

Valerie van Ogtrop Joins as Executive Vice President, Brand Operations

In another significant move, Valerie van Ogtrop has been appointed as the Executive Vice President of Brand Operations, a newly-created role at American Eagle Outfitters. Van Ogtrop’s extensive background includes leading the expansion of the Madewell brand as the Executive Vice President of Brand Operations at J.Crew.

Both Sarah Clarke and Valerie van Ogtrop will start their new roles on October 30.

Planned Departure of Chief Operations Officer

As previously announced in August, Chief Operations Officer Michael Rempell will be leaving American Eagle Outfitters in early fiscal 2024. Rempell’s decision to pursue personal interests and spend more time with his family has led to his planned departure. In the meantime, he will continue in his role to ensure a smooth transition. Rempell has been with the company since early 2000, initially joining as a consultant, and has held various positions including Chief Information Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer.
