Coursera Reports Strong Q2 Financial Results

Shares of Coursera, the popular online learning platform, are on the rise after the company released its second-quarter financial results. The report showed substantial revenue growth for the period, and the company revised its guidance.

Revenue Growth

Coursera reported a loss per share of 21 cents on revenue of $153.7 million for the second quarter. This represents significant improvement compared to the same period last year, when the company reported a loss per share of 34 cents on revenue of $124.7 million.

Positive Outlook

In light of its strong performance, Coursera has raised its 2023 revenue outlook midpoint by $15 million to $620 million. The company now expects its 2023 revenue to fall within a range of $617 million to $623 million.

Future Expectations

Looking ahead to the third quarter, Coursera anticipates revenue in the range of $156 million to $160 million.

This positive news has already had an impact on the company’s stock, as shares are up 10% in after-hours trading at $14.35 each. The stock had ended the regular session with a 2.3% loss, closing at $13.01 a share.
