RBC Wealth Management continues its aggressive recruiting efforts by adding two practices that collectively manage over $750 million in client assets.
Expanding the Team
On Thursday, RBC announced the addition of John Foley, who was previously at Merril Lynch for 41 years and managed approximately $340 million in client assets.
One day prior, RBC welcomed Brian Wells and Stephanie Neri, a team formerly at UBS, where they oversaw around $435 million in assets. Wells and Neri will join RBC’s Marin County office in California, overseen by Michael Schipper, director of RBC’s Northern California complex.
Strengthening Presence
Brian Wells, an investment advisor and broker, recently relocated from Boston to Greenbrae, California. Stephanie Neri, a certified financial planner registered solely as a broker, remains in Boston. RBC anticipates supporting the team in their bicoastal growth.
“Brian has spent many years attracting wonderful clients, and he’s built an extremely successful practice,” says Michael Schipper. “At RBC Wealth Management, he and Stephanie will mesh perfectly with our firm’s fierce focus on the client-advisor relationship.”
RBC Wealth Management’s Reach
RBC’s division within RBC Capital Markets boasts more than 2,100 advisors in the U.S., managing approximately $544 billion in client assets. With 190 offices throughout 42 states, RBC continues its expansion.
Recruiting Success
RBC has been actively recruiting brokers and advisors, successfully adding teams from wirehouses, Wall Street banks, and even the failed regional bank First Republic.
The addition of the Wells/Neri team expands RBC’s footprint on both coasts, while the inclusion of John Foley strengthens its presence in the Midwest. Foley, who is registered as both a broker and advisor, is based in Milwaukee.
“Throughout his career, John has always put his clients at the forefront,” says Douglas Artus, RBC’s Milwaukee complex director. “We are excited to have John on our team to further accelerate RBC Wealth Management’s growth in the greater Milwaukee market and throughout Wisconsin.”
